WHATCHU TALKIN BOUT WILLIS?

I grew up when Diff'rent Strokes was a popular television show. That's no big deal unless your last name is Willis. To this day I still hear those famous words popularized by Arnold: "Whatchu talkin bout Willis?" Usually they are uttered by someone looking at me as though I may have never heard it before. Yeah, right! Well this blog is what I (Willis) am talkin bout...my thoughts, observations & opinions. Enjoy...

Caloric Overload!

Please tell me that I'm not the only one eating tons of calories! I've been the recipient of an enormous amount of really good (yet bad for you) food! Yoyu know the kind! And I have eaten plenty! Actually, I've eaten more than plenty! It seems like every time I finish with one dish another one arrives. Or Mrs. Willis is taking something out of the oven. It's unbelievable! Now I know why everyone gets excited about the possiblities of resolutions for the New Year. And I know why diets are usually at the top of the list. I'd like to write more, but I have some fudge I need to get to...

Two words: sausage balls.

My wife made a shade under 100 of them yesterday. They didn't quite look right to her, so we'll be eating them instead of giving them away like she planned. My tummy paid for it this morning...

I love the baked goods that aren't quite right. I downed a batch of slightly over done sugar cookies. They're no where near as potent as sausage balls however!

Well, you guys are on your own...I am avoiding all kinds of pitfalls this year. I refused to do any baking at all (which for me is hard because I love to bake all the holiday treats and share them!) And I am steering clear of all the kind people who have been trying to stuff me full of all of their holiday favorites. I have found that people just don't like to be around someone who is eating healthy during the holidays...apparently it makes them feel bad for binging! But I am not social eating and I am not going to ruin all my hard work this year! I am starting the new year better!! My advice though is if you are going to down all the calories...up the exercise and you should do fine :) Me, I am sticking with avoidance! (especially since my trainer is on vacation!)
